A CLIFF DWELLING HOME WITH A LAKE VIEW

The design mavericks from Specht Architects take Southern hospitality to the next level – spotlighting a 1970-era structure while highlighting its natural habitat is a damn good way to display their credentialed prowess.

Who knew a suspended limestone driveway could support such a welcoming looker? A light-filled open pavilion lays the foundation for this three-leveled living quarters. Take the stairs, or elevator, to the rooftop herb garden to be entertained by exposed views of Lake Austin and accompanying limestone cliff.

And while you can't move in, you can sure as hell have a squint inspecting this hillside bungalow goodness.
