Maison Kitsuné has just opened its third outpost in Japan, located in the Daikanyama District. The boutique features two levels and 1,500-square-feet of space, showcasing the outfit’s men’s and women’s collections. In drawing inspiration from Tokyo’s iconic Hotel Okura, the space is designed to evoke a traditional yet modern Japanese aesthetic. The shop largely showcases wooden construction as well as a calming bamboo forest. The entrance in turn notes a checkered floor, leading to a floating staircase that connects the levels.
To coincide with the opening, Maison Kitsuné has also launched a new “Daikanyama” capsule, inspired by Hotel Okura’s hexagonally cut pendant lamps and geometric latticework. The range features a jacket, sweatshirt, T-shirt and tote bag, available exclusively at Maison Kitsuné Daikanyama.
Just last year, Maison Kitsuné opened its first boutique in Hong Kong.
