Lamborghini driving into floodwaters

Since it seems to contradict logic that a $260,000 Italian supercar could ford a raging torrent and come out the other side unscathed, I should probably explain why such a thing is possible — no matter how unwise it might be.

The Lamborghini's V10 engine is mounted in the middle of the car and the air intakes are relatively high up. And with underbody shielding (designed for aerodynamics and not floodwater protection) that keeps water off the vital electronics and high-tech all-wheel drive, it makes for a pretty potent water walker.

That said, I wouldn't ever do it myself, nor would I recommend any other Lambo owners venture into El Nino weather. However, if you have the pocket book fat enough to risk wrecking your Italian super car, who am I to stop you?

Either way, lesson learned: Lamborghinis are way more capable than I thought. Better watch your back, Jeep.
